Intel Fortran is natively available on all platforms but on Windows is virtually the only free option, thanks to the integration with Visual Studio. The Intel Fortran Compiler (ifort) is a proprietary compiler developed by Intel it can be used free of charge for non commercial uses as a part of the Intel oneAPI HPC Toolkit. gfortran is natively available on Linux and MacOS it is possible to get it on Windows with Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) and other workarounds.
